I'm a contract employee and I haven't been paid for work from 6/23/16 to present. I contacted them and they have not responded to an email four days later.

You probably need to find a lawyer.

The last thing I would do is report to work on Monday.

I've already given notice 3 weeks ago after butting heads with them over delayed payment in the past.

Texas workforce commission, or your states equal.

It's doesn't cost you money. They will get the company to pay you, they don't play.

I was going to say you could contact Rob Wiley P.C. if you were in texas. They don't play.

ETA: in all seriousness... I'm not sure how big the company is but maybe HR is on vacation.

The owner drags her feet submitting reimbursement to insurance companies. It takes five minutes to do. I asked to be allowed to do it myself to ensure payment in a timely manner and she refused. She claimed that is part of the service she provides for taking 30% of what I make an hour.

I've addressed the fact that it's taken over 6 weeks on multiple occasions to be paid and she insisted she'd do better. 3 weeks ago I stated this was getting ridiculous and once again can she make an effort to pay in a timely manner. She called me "unprofessional" and said the comment was "nasty". That is when I gave my intention to leave.

I actually received a letter from her attorney days after giving my intention to leave saying nonsense that went without saying. It said I cannot use the company name in advertising or correspondence after my last day (why the hell would I?), the facility would no longer be available to me, and that I must turn in my keys. It's funny that she can whip up that letter instantly. If only she submitted claims with such frequency.
