My experience lately has been this:

Get appointment with doctor. Wait over an hour to be seen by the doctor. Expected to explain to the nurse what I want to explain to the doctor before the doctor even sees me. Doctor comes in. I attempt to explain what's going on. Am cut off and asked to cut to the chase. Explained to that most of my symptoms are all in my head. Prescribes medication I'm already taking. I feel no better.

Tell me your symptoms and I'll see if I can help out.

If you post your symptoms here, your diagnosis will be AIDS.

If you're having pain in multiple body areas, GI problems, and sexual issues, then it is most likely due to anxiety or depression. So yes, it's all in your head.

Before the age of 26, I never went to the doctor, so no. I had surgery in January 2016 and have had issues stemming from that which I think are pertinent to the reasons I'm seeing the doctor. I wanted to make sure he has the best information I can provide to make an accurate diagnosis.

I feel like in their rush to move people in/out, they latch on to one particular symptom, but the human body doesn't work that way.

GI problems, dizziness, motion sickness

Really started about 6 months ago. I've been living with it. 20mg of Paxil daily helps with the living with it part.

You believe the OP is transgendered and is having post-op issues from his/her transition surgery?

It's possible but statistically unlikely.

They are treating you with an SSRI, so they clearly believe your issue is depression and/or anxiety.

Medicare and insurance cuts. Docs don't make shite anymore. They're trying to get you in and out as fast as possible so they can see as many patients as possible

I have anxiety because I feel like crap

I was initially prescribed by my family doctor back in 2015 to help calm IBS-related issues, but she has been generous with the re-fills since then.
