I need to make a call to a person in his 80's. I don't know him at all but he is neighbors of one of my friends. I need a favor so I don't want to piss him off by, for example, prematurely waking him up from a nap.

My gut tells me that noon is safe but hoping for some feedback.

Tough question, for sure. I would feel pretty safe from about 7:30am until noon. After that is lunch and nap.

Before the 5 o'clock news. Or after the 6:00 news and you can spend an hour talking about that.

Elderly folk tend to be early risers.

You can't go wrong with 9:00 AM.

He's probably thinking about lunch by then.

He has probably been up since 5:00 am.

When you wake up, call to let him know you will be there at 11:00 to have lunch, drop off his groceries, and mow his lawn.

Take care of your Paw-Paws, y'all!
