The second summer after I graduated. I was a part of an American program, and the summer the year after I graduated, I realized that I was a bit of an old fart hanging out with sophomores. It was still acceptable at the time, but I definitely knew this time next year that would not be the case with sophomores.

Honestly today...I've had some recent health struggles and looked in the mirror today and saw some gray. Only 29...

At 35 during our first flag football preseason practice. Never had to do a lot of stretching prior to then, and didn't that first practice. Tore quads up pretty bad. Next few days felt like someone stabbing me in the thighs with each step i took.

I'm still in pretty good shape, but I run and my knees are starting to crack.

When I'd see ads for appliances and think, "That's cool. I'd like one of those." I knew it was downhill from there.

I hiked about 5 miles one way over a mountain yesterday and back again. Woke up today and hit the weights hard at the gym. I don't feel a single ache. If the weather wasn't going to be shite I'd be on the trails again tomorrow. I just hit 40. I've seen 70 year old guys running the mountain trails and skiing here in CO regularly.

Stay active and don't let yourself go to shite and you can fight off age. You can't beat it but you can damn sure have a good time until the end.

Tell your buddy to start working out. Depending on how old you are, keeping in good shape should prevent this until easily into your 50s

I considered myself in great shape until I took a yoga class.
I could barely walk the next day.

I do have great cardio skills tho.
