What's your prediction as to the next big thing?

15 years ago nobody would've ever guessed that a freaking fidget spinner would take off and become a multi-billion dollar invention. Or a pocket-sized computer that makes phone calls. Or Amazon Echo's or even Amazon for that matter. Or drones.

What do you think is the next big thing? I'm going out on a limb and will predict that within the next 15 years there will be a device that can read your mind during dreams, capture those dreams, and write short story virtual books based off of them that you can upload to your phone or kindle or other similar device.

You’re thinking too science fiction. The other examples are just different functions of hardware that already existed.

Drone delivery - or something like it - is probably the next big thing.

I do think we’ll see something in the next 20 years that enables better autodidactic practices for students. Not sure what. If I knew, I’d make it happen.

Damn...this is actually foolproof. It could generate random fricking stories, or it could connect to your Facebook/Google and integrate your web history and personal data to have more personalized results. Worst case is that it doesn't line up with your dreams so when people complain the company just says it recorded during a sleep state that you don't have recollection of

Virtual Reality lounges. People will never leave until its too late, like opium dens of the late 1800s.

Someone should start working on a business offering to polish and clean the robots that will be doing all the jobs in the future. Could be huge. A rumba for the rumba.

In 15 years, driverless cars will have changed the auto industry, individual auto ownership, the auto insurance industry, and the lives of personal injury/insurance defense attorneys among other things.

It's the next big shift with technology and our culture, imo.

glad I read through this first. Mine was close to this

I think that vehicle ownership will be more and more rare. We will order vehicle that will arrive autonomously and taken us where we need to go.
