What are you all with kids spending on the family vacation? Something like the beach, skiing, or visiting somewhere in the US?

Vacation budgets are directly tied to income... I can tell you for certain my average cost of vacation would go up tremendously if I made 1 million a year

Couple grand for a beach vacation. 70% of that is on the condo/house.

Somewhere between $5k-10k depending. We’ve been skipping the family vacations for a few years since My oldest graduated and just going with us or taking the one kid graduating.

Those saying $5k are blowing me away. Are y’all going to Hawaii or Europe every year or something? Fuuuuuck that. I spend $2,500 at most (usually $1,500-$2,000) on most family vacations. Hell, even a Disney trip for the family costs me $3,100 but that’s so few and far between. If you’re spending $5k on a typical family vacation, you either need to invest in a vasectomy or tone down your extravagant vacations.

Or maybe I’m just a tightwad, who knows. No way am I regularly spending &5k on a family vacation every year.

Well nobody in my family drinks alcohol so that does cut down on the cost a whole lot.

Renting an average condo in Gulf Shores for 5 nights will be $1500-2000 these days. And that's pretty basic vacation where you can drive.

Are you not…..doing things? It was literally over $500 just for biltmore last year, and even cheap places will be a few hundred for families.

My nerd arse wants to go to the WWI museum in Kansas City. A 3 day weekend to go do that is over $1,000 so I’ll just settle on another day trip to the wwii museum and pray I don’t get carjacked
