Country and rap. That's it. When did you white boys started hating rock and roll? No boston, no allman bros, no van halen, no Steve miller band, no who, no motley crue, no rush. I can't stand being around millennials anymore.

Rant [off]

You used to jam out to your parents' music when you were younger?

Btw, I like these bands but a kid being into these bands in 2020 is like me being into the Glen Miller Orchestra as a teen in the 90's.

Y’all do realize those bands are now over 40 years old, right? Were kids in the 80’s listening to 1940’s big band crooners? Of course not! A bunch of ratt fans hanging out in 86 being like, brah, dat boogie woogie bugle boy is a straight banger, bro! Didn’t f$&king happen.

Also, a lot of millennials do listen to classic rock, and a lot make and listen to newer rock.

The reason why most stick to rap and country is because that’s what most millennial women listen to. Men go where the women go and put on what the women want to listen to while drunk to keep them around long enough to get frisky.

Even the “alt” girls by and large don’t listen to rock music, or anything remotely resembling the dad rock referenced by OP.

I have a Spotify playlist with all of those folks on it. Boston, Doobie Bros, Jackson Brown, Fleetwood, Great White, Foreigner, etc. I named it The Greatest Music Ever Recorded. It’s my most listened to playlist. I’m 28.

When my son was young he used to listen to rap. Now he's 20 and loves classic rock. There's hope.

Those "reaction" videos on YouTube where some black dude listens to a classic rock song that has been played ad nauseum for the last 30 years are retarded

And reading comprehension isn't your strong suit. Got it.

BTW, you're about 10 years late with those references too.

You would absolutely hate the kids who want to play guitar-based music now. The post-punk era was more influential than the hair band era. Even still, there are contemporary bands in each of the genres you mentioned, except for glam metal.
