Apparently it’s mainly a difference from American/British English but either is correct. Just something that never registered for me and messed with my head for a moment when I noticed it.

"Canna Lilly".
A co-worker gave me some bulbs for Canna Lillies back around 2003 or so. I had no idea what they were so we internet searched them (not sure Google was the dominant search engine then). That was also the days before "safe search" functions, meaning everything came back.
I have no idea but what came back from that search at my desk with our corporate controller looking over my shoulders was nothing but sexual images. I mean some serious pornography.
To this day I still don't understand what that connotation of canna lily is because I shut the browser down and never looked it up again.
