What's the end game with hacking Facebook accounts?

Good friend of mine had her (no pics) fb account hacked this morning by some ISIS looking people. They changed her name to some Arabic name and her pic to an isis fighter. Her profile was also linked to her business page. I just wonder like what is the end goal for the religion of peace here? Obviously people realize she was hacked. Are they trying to get your personal info, friends list? I just don't get it.

It's probably teenagers who are playing a prank. She probably also knows them.

That particular thing sounds like a prank and likely wasn't actually arabic people. They just thought that it would look embarrassing.
Other schemes though could be using a person's contact list to run scams. They hack your account, and then send requests for money claiming that you are having some kind of emergency. I haven't heard of it happening with Facebook, but a similar thing happened with my mom's e-mail a while ago. They hacked her e-mail account then sent out a bunch of e-mails to her address book saying that she was stranded in England and needed a few thousand pounds to get home. Anyone who knew her of course knew that it made no sense for her to be traveling to England by herself and not telling anyone.
There are probably other possible schemes, but that is one possibility that comes to mind.
