We have a Nectar Premier that’s clearly defective so it’s going back.

Which ones should we consider as a replacement? Should we just try to get a cheap one and swap it out every few years? Or is there a superior brand we should try?

Purchased a Sweet Dreams cooling foam mattress 6 months ago. Very comfortable and would recommend.

When we were shopping around, we spend a Saturday just stopping in at different mattress stores until we found the mattress that met our comfort.

I have one of those Tempurpedic mattresses that has the built in ‘cooling material’

It was expensive but worth it imho. Sleeps beautifully.

I don’t think anything that comes in a box is worth a damn.

I honestly have no idea what makes up the 10X-20X price difference in memory foam mattresses these days. They are $2000-$4000 in store and $200-$400 online

Lumpy, uneven, and not supportive. I’m assuming they are made to be consistent, but ours isn’t like that. It was clearly screwed up even the first day we had it.

I also made the mistake of buying from a local Baton Rouge area retailer too instead of online. So the online returns are a pain but it’s finally happening.

never take mattress recommendations from someone that 'recently purchased'

About 2 years back we bought one of those mattresses that show up in a box. Maybe 'Purple' don't remember which one. Any who I was very please and would have highly recommended for thr first 8 months. By 12 months it went to shite and it was time for a new mattress.

That's my concern with all these box brands. Which of the 20 variations do you go with?

We love our Tempurpedic. The downside is that traveling is less enjoyable because the hotel or rental place mattresses always suck in comparison.

I like the idea of Tempurpedic but are those the ones that are split in half? My wife sleeps on my back and I don't know if she'd want to sleep on that split in the middle.

Have airbnb. Bad mattress can kill your reviews. After a lot of research I settled on Avenco hybrid mattress. Inexpensive, comes in a box with a 100 night return policy.
