Its kind of crazy how many golf courses the Baton Rouge area used to have considering the population:

Webb
Santa Maria
Howell Park
Dumas
City Park
Beaver Creek
Clark Park
CCLA
BRCC
Fairwood Country Club (gone)
Briarwood Golf Club (gone)
Shenandoah Country CLub (gone)
Sherwood Forest Country Club (gone)
Bluffs
The Island
U Club

. I mean that is a shite load.

16 Golf Courses for the Baton Rouge area is kind of insane.

Seven municipal courses is what's ridiculous

Especially considering 4-5 of them are extremely uninspiring

BRCC & CCL will run you $100, UC may be a hair cheaper (~$90)

UClub has the best layout and is the toughest though

I do not agree with this at all. The holes have very little character. shite, I would go so far as to say that the practice holes are more entertaining than those on the actual golf course.

If they shut down Howell Park and Dumas and pump some money into Webb it could be a nice course.

The layout is not bad, they just need to dump some money into it.

WEBB doesn't haven't a range and there is no fixing that

That's a big turnoff for a lot of people

I don't usually warm up on the range so I don't really care

It's not the hardest in the area, but it's not what I'd consider easy.
