Local original Jam Band with a horn section (although sometimes they just have their badass sax player).
Stage Coach Bandits is another good one. They're more of a rock group with a great Zeppelin-esque front man.
Gris Gris has a great funk keyboard player, but they play a lot of covers.

Yes, although I haven't heard Onion Loaf in a couple years so I don't know if they're any good or not. Both Onion Loaf and Captian Green along with a whole bunch of other local bands from BR and New Orleans are playing Radiopalooza in downtown BR tomorrow from 3-8pm. I'll probably go.
