Some selfish arsehole decided early this morning would be a good time to set off a homemade explosive device and then try to burn down the basement of the FAA facility in Aurora. He then blew his head off. Good.
I was supposed to fly from ORD to JFK tonight. Not happening and couldn't get anything re-scheduled until Sunday. All flights are cancelled until at least 4 PM (and probably longer) out of O'Hare, Midway, and Milwaukee.
That one guy did tens of millions of dollars worth of economic damage with what he did.

Lots of fun college football viewing in the city tomorrow, and the weather is great. Take advantage and hit some school bars.

I have no sympathy for her. I always plan for explosive self immolation suicides in the control tower when traveling. Everyone should.

Sitting in O'Hare as I type. Initial flight out was at 3. Now I'm on the 12:20 to DFW & 7 to BTR. Had 3 flights alone today canceled. Let's hope this one takes off.
