re: What seemingly common thing can you just not do?

Even though I was (growing up/50 now) reasonably athletic, left eye dominant and bat right handed, pretty coordinated from a hand eye sense, I always completely sucked at hitting a baseball/softball. I think fellow old dudes from Metairie will agree with this, but as a kid growing up there in the late 70's, a big part of your world revolved around the playground for whom you played. The disparity between my football and basketball skills, as compared to baseball skills, would cause me to almost get a daily "pit" in my stomach at either recess or especially after school. While everyone else was headed to Girard for baseball, every spring, I was doing something else. I sucked THAT bad at at it.

Now that I think of it though, how old are you when you learn how to beat off? I likely figured that out one of those springs, so it's not like I wasted the time.
