Have 13 year old daughters that want to start strengthening up for softball but dont want them to hurt themselves. What is the right time and what exercises that should be done?

Should there be specific things they should only be allowed to do? They were doing the stregnth bands but have grown out of that.

Age has little to do with it. They need to wait till after puberty at the least. Once you get a normal, active boy, during puberty aND after they will have so much testosterone in there body that they will know it's time.

Between 7th & 8th grade. They need to be taught proper form and technique most of all.

You waited too long. They'll never make varsity now.

Way to go dad.
