I'm still trying to think and remember myself, I'll update OP with my own answer eventually.

What about you; what are some very pricey things you have damaged/destroyed by accident?

edit: CARS do not count!!

Totalled an almost brand new truck back in the day. That was pretty expensive for the insurance company.

Car accidents are probably the most common answer for people.

As a teenager, I flipped my best friends dads 535i BMW. It was about 3 months old at the time.

My grandfather's Comet Snapper. Thought I'd do him a favor by mowing his huge yard. Didn't check the oil. It needed a quart. I was probably 12 years old.

I bent the shite out of a $50k electrical box on a job site. Luckily it only bent one of the legs and I was able to cut it off and weld in a new leg.

Anyone at a plant long enough has probably beat all of these car values.

I broke one of these (exact as in the pic). My pinky finger hit the needle the second day after I had it. My heart sank when I realized what I had done.

For those that don't know what it is, it's a cartridge (needle) for a turntable (record player).

I ran a machine that cost $1,000,000. Pretty sure I broke nearly every part on it at some point.

It was a piece of shite though.
