60ish hours. World of Warcraft TBC launch. Took week vacation for that week. Good times, no regrets.

Unless you were deployed and in a prolonged firefight, a fugitive on the run, or you were on a ship caught in a hurricane I can't think of a good reason to be awake more than 48 hours.

Close to 40 hours on a weekend long offshore trip aboard a sportfisher. Left Cypress cove at 2 am on a Saturday after being up all day Friday and didn't fall asleep until late Saturday. It was brutal

40+ hours with no sleep whatsoever on 3 or 4 different occasions.
~96 hours with minimal sleep - no more than 30 minutes or so at a time and no more than 4 or 5 hours total at least 1 time.

That'll definitely do the trick. 60ish hours is probably my record.

Coming off OxyContin cold turkey a few times. After about 4 days and nights of no sleep I was pulling my hair out.

maybe 36 hours? It's a miserable feeling.

~ 42 hours. I would doze off for a few seconds and jump awake in a panic not knowing where I was. It's a good thing I wasn't driving

Got up at 10 am Friday and had to work a 12 that night and then go home and get ready for a wedding, didn't go to sleep night until 2 am Sunday

Multiply everybody's answer here by 0.75 to get the true number. People love exaggerating about how long they can stay awake
