He may have got that info from the annual "Average Oter" Threads.

I think average is 6'4" now.46" vertical jump.4.45 40..etc...

eta:All the kids in our family come out wearing size 7 shoes.

I'm wanting to see what kind of Great-Nephew will come from 6'8" and 5'11".

I'm 6'5" and never thought of myself as especially tall. However, a couple of times a week, I'll have someone say something to me about my height.

6'5" is pretty tall dude.

Yeah, I doubt he doesn't think he's tall, as everyone this size is accustomed to hearing, "Oh Em Gee you are like, so tall!" all the goddamn time. Thanks, I never noticed until you pointed it out woman.

I'm 6'4" but I don't feel tall. I would consider tall to be 6'2" or taller though.

We had a 6'7" friend in college who was a very unathletic, goofy white boy who wore sweaters a lot.

He would get "Dude, do you play basketball?" all the time and would just make shite up each time. Not sure he can even dribble a damn ball.

"Yeah, I'm in the NBA D-League right now, hoping to get called up to the Grizzlies soon"

He HATED strangers constantly bugging him about his height too.

I just don't understand why people do it. It doesn't even come across as complimentary.

They'd never go up to a 350lb guy and say, "Damn dude you're fat as frick!"

I'm 6'5" as well and I agree with him. I don't feel that tall until someone points it out, which is like 1-2 times a week. Or when I have to duck under something, which is not often for someone who is 6'5."

Tall to me is anyone taller than me .

5'7 here. I think anyone 6'0+ is tall. That's the height where it becomes difficult for me to see the top of their head if we're having a conversation.

Wife is 5'10 though. I'll expect lots of gratitude from my children.

Edit - even though I'm short, I still recognize guys that are 5'9 and below to be short.

At times, especially when we have family reunions. I am shortest male on my dad's side of the family. My dad is the second shortest at 5'10". Basically, the rest of the males are all 6'4"-6'11."

I must've got my height from my mother's side which are all 6'0" or under. Mom was only 5'0" tall.

No pun intended, but I got the "short end" of the deal.

I wouldn't say men are tall until at least over 6'. I am 6' and don't really think people are tall until about 6'3". For women, I would say tall is 5'9". I think there is a difference between being tall and being above average height. Tall connotes to me a significant departure from average.

The average height of an American male is 5-foot-10, correct? If so, I would think anything 6-foot or more would be considered 'tall.'

I'm exactly 6 feet and comparing myself to 90% of the other guys I see walking around I'm a very average height for men.So I'm thinking 6'1 to 6'2 starts being tall for men and 5'8 for women.

I am 6'4" and I have never considered myself tall, but in all honesty 6'6" and taller people just seem unworldly tall to me. In my opinion if you can get your inseam without having to go to a specialty store/section then you're not tall, above average maybe, but not tall.

You should change your name to 'Buttsauce'.
