What ever happened to Micro Machines?

Those were some of my favorite toys as a kid, especially the military ones. Do they even make them anymore? I have a box full of them that my kids used to play with occasionally but I haven't seen them in stores in a long time. Oddly enough the hot wheels cars are still around but those suck compared to Micro Machines.

I guess with electronics so prevelant less kids want toys, but walking around toys r us all of the toys out there suck compared to when I was a kid. And everything is licensed now a days too. Kids have plenty of options so long as it's Star Wars or X-Men.

I had some of those but didn't like them near as much as Legos. I still have a huge tub of legos at the house.

You can still buy Star Wars micro machines. They brought them back for episode 7 (with the micro machines logo and everything). Saw some in Target last night. But they haven't and probably aren't going to bring back the traditional ones, unless something has changed.
But man I loved micro machines too. Anyone remember super van city? Hours of just playing with that thing and making up stories, the mountain in the middle was Wayne Manor for me because I had a Batmobile MM to put on top of it.

I like that! Can I come over and play? I'll let you be the crane operator since it's your house and all.

Same, thing was legit. I would still break it out to play with as a teenager when I was babysitting (that or our old transformers). Everyone loved that thing as kids.

It'll make your fingers sore after putting it together longer than an hour.

I was a micro machines kid myself. Remember those commercials... with the guy who talked fast?

Stompers were awesome. I snuck one in to first grade one time, kid put it on his head, his hair got caught up in the wheels. Teacher had to break out the scissors and cut it off his head.

I had hundreds of Micro Machines and thousands of Musclemen
Apparently some of those musclemen go for big money now and I had boxes and boxes of them. Oh well
