What does this room smell like?

So wife and I were cooking steak the other day, she likes it well done which is a steak deal breaker for me, so I cooked it with some vinegar and a1 sauce and it had a very particular smell. What did the room smell like?

I'm lost. What was the point in cooking it with vinegar and A-1 Sauce? We're you trying to teach her a lesson by ruining her steak?
I've never heard of anyone cooking a steak with vinegar and A-1
