Most hotels are American owned. Even if they are owned by Indian Americans, most of them are American citizens.

Does this really mean white owned? What do you think?

Very few aren't, which is why the sign makes no sense.

What do you do for a living? We seem to have interest in hotels and restaurants.

Are these shitty places or what? I don't stay at hotels that have dumb signs out front so I'm kind of curious.

The Indian definition of "clean" is not the same as the American definition.

Chinese investors have been buying up a lot of hotels recently. The Waldorf Astoria in NY was just bought by a Chinese group and there was a Chinese group in the running to buy Starwood hotels. I'm guessing that's what they're against...that and Indian people.

I'm going out on a limb here, but how about this: only Americans own the hotel? Race, creed, color, sexuality, political affiliation, sex, and handicapped status; no clue!

It means the owners are racist white Americans who can't win business through their TripAdvisor/Yelp/Google reviews so they bash their competitors who have dark skin.

I have found these places are usually as bad if not worse than the Indian-American owned hotels/motels.

Nowadays there is no reason not to stay in a chain hotel with apps like Priceline Express Deals.

Unless you are in the Permian Basin (NM) where chain hotels still run $200-$300 during the week. In these towns there is usually one or two Indian-American owned mom & pops that are clean and well taken care of.
