If you have chronic heartburn, then you need to seriously examine your diet.

Pepcid, you mean.

I rotate between Pepcid and Zantac.

Looking at water gives me heartburn so I am not really sure what I could do differently. My dad and his dad have the same issue so it appears to have some kind of genetic component to it.

I am trying out dandelion supplements as it is supposed to help with your liver and if you have any liver issues it can cause excess bile which leads to heartburn. Worth a shot.

When I get heartburn I take generic Zantac. Get it at Walmart only as they have the best deal, far far cheaper than the same exact thing at Albertsons. I take 2 a day, at least. If they ever find out that Zantac causes cancer or anything fatal then I am screwed.

If seeking a 1 time solution, like after gorging on Taco Hell, try 1 measuring teaspoon Baking Soda completely dissolved in 8-10 ounces water. Arm & Hammer been the go-to for heartburn since the 1896.

I think it is zantac, or used to be.

Pepcid complete berry flavor. Chewable and they work fast. You get the famotidine ( Pepcid ) and the tums combined into a chewable tablet

I used to eat 3-4 Tums a day for heartburn. I quit drinking coffee and quit eating fried food. That did it for me, haven't had heartburn in 3 years.

Zantac before you eat something spicy. Chew 2-3 gaviscon before bed if you feel it coming on.

Look at changing your diet too. I suffered with it for years, started eating better recently and I haven't had it nearly as bad
