The wacky theory among African Americans is that the Egyptians were originally black, but later got lightened by Greeks, Romans and especially Arabs. Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman and other abolitionists would be rolling over in their grave if they heard about these theories. Because 150 years ago, American blacks actually thought that White people were Egyptians, and blacks were the Hebrews who were being unjustly enslaved. Read this song Go Down Moses. LINK

There is one thing that never gets addressed in the arguments against Black Egypt. The question I have is:what the hell did the Egyptians actually do that was so great? People of all races act like the Egyptians contributed something to society, but I honestly think they contributed absolutely nothing.

Seriously their contribution to literature is The Book of the Dead. Their contribution to science was embalming. Their contribution to architecture was tombs, better known as pyramids. They made no contributions to math, other than possibly calculating the area and volume of their pyramids. They had zero contributions to philosophy, other than begging the question of why people would waste 20 years building something as useless as a pyramid. And somewhat unbelievably, Egyptians actually were too stupid to invent the wheel, just like the Africans below the Sahara. Yes, 3000 years after their neighbors in the Levant used the wheel, the Egyptians were still too stupid to even copy their neighbors, and had to be taught the wheel by the Saudi Arabian Hyskos.

Why are they considered some great civilization on par with Mesopotamia, India, China, Greece and Rome? Other than their pyramids, what the hell did they do? What did they invent? How did they contribute to society?

That's a pretty big deal considering we still use some form of what they started. They also mined rock and where big argriculture traders of the time. They may not have had much lasting impact in ways you are explaining, but without the Egyptians the world would be vastly different because of what they were able to provide to the other societies of the time.

they created the first emojis

They were the first to say the earth was round
quote:

The first (official) measurement of the radius of the earth was made by Erasthenes (b. 275 B.C.), who was the head of the great library of Alexandria. He was born in Cyrene, now Libya. It seems likely that the ancient Egyptians, much before Egypt's conquest by Alexander the great, had already grasped the idea of a spherical Earth, and it was from them that this doctrine was adopted by Pythagoras, who, as we know, spent many years of study in Egypt. (1)

Laid the groundwork for early astronomy
quote:

Knowledge of stellar constellations - At least 43 constellations were familiar to the Egyptians in the 13th century B.C. (1).

The oldest known copies of an almanac date from 1220 BC at the time of Ramses the Great. In 1100 BC Amenhope wrote "Catalog of the Universe" in which he identified the major known constellations.

They also created the idea of a 24 hour day, a 365 day year, the sun dial and used their architecture to predict phenomena in astronomy such as eclipses and equinoxes

There is zero historical proof for the Exodus. I think slavery was invented by the Assyrians.
