Do you think that police brutality exists due to an abundance of caution for self preservation by police due to routine threats in the line of duty - or - does the questioning of authority and resistance to arrest result from the behavior of the police?
chicken or egg?

Listen cop.
Your presumption that you shouldn't question the police is wrong.
I think i hear a dog barking.

haha, not a cop, actually agree with you. I firmly believe the questioning police action (respectfully and appropriately) is essential to a functioning society.

Police brutality. They can be traced back to slave patrols of the old eras.
It's not even debatable. Force against the uninformed and powerless has been in place since the 1799. Gotta keep people in their place and make sure they don't have uprisings.

I did not understand why everyone gave you soooooo much shite until just now...... JUST WOW. Your right, your people were the only group to ever be oppressed, placed under bondage, and physically abused throughout the course of know history.
This thread is not about race at all. I have had a few scrapes with cops, had my arse kicked by them one real good time. They don't like well educated college age white boys telling them what they can an can't do either.....
All I want to know, is are cops dicks because they have rightful fear for their safety, or is it something else? I think for every cop it is likely different. I think police behavior and brutality is out of control and has been for some time. Hopefully recent events will bring change.
