Well this definitely fits the bill of something to irrationally get angry at.

In fact, I would be more angry if the person in front of me trying to turn left DIDN'T do this because I'm going to try and follow right behind them.

I think people are missing the point of this thread. People are listing things that are perfectly rational to get angry at.

I shouldn't care what the person in front of me does. Since I'm waiting at the red light. Do I get a pass on mine?

85 fricking degrees in January. It's January for frick's sake. It should not be 85 degrees outside and my AC should not be running

Definitely. Your anger at this scenario is quite irrational.

TSA security screening. Not entirely irrational, but my anger is out of proportion to the circumstances.

Yes, thanks for the tip.
You're welcome. I wasn't sure if you knew based on your initial post.

It's the fault of the drivers going straight in the opposite direction who should be coming to a stop when the light turns yellow.

What I mean is that if a person turning left on green is in the intersection and has to wait until the light has already turned red, it's probably because a person going the opposite direction just ran a red light.
I still don't see how that's anyone else's fault. They don't have to yield to you. They might have run the red light or been really close to it but you shouldn't have been in the middle of the damn intersection.

People turning left that don't understand you can go before the car in front of you has made it all the way through the intersection.

That fricking arrow doesn't stay green forever!

Did you know that's legal to do in some states? It's actually very convenient on those shitty intersections that don't have green arrows when you need to left turn, especially when it's busy.

Irrationally angry? When people say "you know" constantly.

Are we talking about the same thing?

It's perfectly acceptable to move out into the intersection on green to make a left turn at the nearest opportunity. I've literally done this in front of police cars.

Interesting. Even if you complete the turn on red?

When traffic on E State Street comes to a stand still because some fat arse has to get their Raising Canes and the line stretches out the lot...is that irrational?

But if the light turns red, you've run the red light since you are proceeding through under a red light.

Of course it is. But we're talking about you waiting in the intersection until the light turns red, then turning.

Clothes hangers. I admit I've lost my shite entirely in trying to get a hanger out without pulling 45 more out with it.

Yes, technically it is running a red light, but it's an accepted practice. I'm sure there are police officers who would pull someone over for it if they were having a bad day.

If you pull out into the intersection to turn left on green and the light turns yellow with traffic still oncoming, what else are you supposed to do if traffic in the left turn lane behind you has already pulled up as well? Just sit in the intersection and block traffic for an entire turn cycle so you don't run a red light?
