Baton Rouge is severely underrated. It isn't that bad.

Chatanooga is like the Baton Rouge of Tennessee. It's downtown is marginally better than BR's.

One only spent one night In chat and that was probably about 15 years ago... I didn't notice one thing that was impressive.... I'd have chosen BR over It for sure with my limited knowledge

Have never been to a wedding there, but do not doubt it.

Have been to one at the old state capitol during sunset, freaking amazing.

which would have made you what, 15 at the time?

for the record, before this goes any further, im not arguing that chatt is the best city in the US. but i do enjoy living here much more than i did in BR.

17-18ish... Yeah not much experience but didn't see much that seems to would have excited me as a young adult minus the easy access to nice hiking and riding trails and other outdoor stuff

I love that it is about 2 hours from everything (Knoxville, Atlanta, Huntsville, Nashville) and it is a beautiful city. Tons of nice hiking and other outdoor activity. we have an ok in town music festival and several decent close ones.

the weather is tolerable almost year round too. I Like downtown chatt wat more than BR. it has the same downtown feel in a small city as BR, but i feel much safer here than i ever did in br.

Chattanooga was recently voted best town to live in by Outside Magazine
Chattanooga - Rock City at Christmas
The park on top of Lookout Mountain
Tennessee Aquarium
Lots of hiking, etc.
And it's very close to the Smokies

One of my top choices if I moved out of Louisiana

Baton Rouge gets it tough because it's stuck between two great cities rich in culture.

If it was between Shreveport and Monroe, it would be an oasis.
