you absolutely do get recycled and reprogrammed. your body will break down into its constituent chemicals/elements (carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, etc) and then they will be reused by the ecosystem, maybe not into the exact same role, but, like I said, whatever role you had before will be filled with a different person after you leave.
