Don't involve us in this mess...

I happen to know that one guy in the back is a Hardcore Methodist.

Your mistake is understandable.

Sometimes people get Presbyterian and Methodist confused.

I think that side of the street is EBR Sheriff territory.

When they are lucky enough to get out the hood, why do they always want to bring it with them? Loud music, driveway overflowing onto the street and hanging out in the front yard. The hanging out in the front yard probably irks me more than the music.

I have been watching a lot of evolution videos. It's just interesting to me. One of the things I've learned is how much our brain sizes have increased over the centuries. Even today, there are differences in brain size among the races. More brain size equals advanced thinking and development of connections and processing inside the brain. It just makes you think. No pun intended.

At what point are we going to start holding cultcha to the same standard as everyone else, and stop turning a blind eye to it. They don’t know the suspects. I would bet they have a certain quality to them.

Bummer because in my family’s neighborhood in River Oaks (Houston) they’ve had some cultcha bars pop up around there. Nothing’s gonna change if they don’t change it themselves. We’ve tried.

BR is gonna smash the murder count for the year at this pace….. I’m amazed that kids want to even come to LSU with all the horrible crime that goes on here.

I live in JT and the EBRSO has actually been pretty great. I see them out here often.

I love JT. My neighbors have all kept their homes updated and well groomed.

The only issues are the two shady apartments at Cal and Floynell.

I lived in S’port for maybe 2 years way back in high school. I hated that town, talk about boring and thinking it was east Dallas. I left as soon as I graduated. However, it was a decent town. At least where I lived and wasn’t trashy. It’s sad what happens when the ghetto is allowed to roam.

It’s infuriating that these incompetent judges are allowed to get away with this. This will make your blood boil.

For one 19th JDC judge, controversy over rulings is nothing new

but it doesn’t do a thing if every violent criminal they arrest is back on the street almost immediately.

Why does this happen? Do you believe the DA's are soft by nature? Do they enjoy, understand or maybe even and encourage crime? Are they too lazy to put together a solid case so it's easier just to let them go? Are they instructed to only prosecute the extremely violent criminals as we have no where to put the "mostly friendly" criminals nor can Louisiana afford to house them? There has to be a reason why DAs and judges go easy on crime in BTR, so...what is it? Would more tax dollars help keep criminals off the streets?

DA’s can only do so much - the corrupt Judicial side is where the problem lies. Janice Clark (retired), the Johnson Clan, Trudy White all were elected based on campaigns funded by the same machine that put SWB and certain idiots on the Parish Council. It’s the same machine that funded the vote harvesting operation run through EBRCoA that kept DumBel Edwards in office for a second term.

A new DSLD development also means you have 3 - 5 more years at best.

Sometimes, the apartments come after the nicer neighborhood has been built.

You can add Alvarez to that list as they build Woodstock Park right between Lexington and University Club. I just saw a charger and mustang racing down Hwy 30 a couple of days ago quickly turn into Woodstock Park. And so it begins....

Jefferson/Bluebonnet is fine. There are a few shitbirds in those apartments on Rue de Belle Maison and near the Jefferson/Floynell intersection, but for the most part it's about as safe as can be in Baton Rouge

The only people saying otherwise to this probably moved out to LP/Central and consider every part of BR ghetto-adjacent. Floynell for 1/4 of a mile is probably the ONLY bad stretch of Jefferson between Government and Airline and it's really just the Shell gas station.
