It's true. It's just insane the amount of snow already received and it's not even the end of September. Plus the oxymoron of having a road sign referencing fires while there's a blizzard.

I'm assuming so! I haven't been up there since last week. The fire got about a tenth of a mile from the road at its closest approach.

The spot fires are smoldering, albeit still burning. I took this pic today at Village Inn in Apgar.

I've always wanted to visit a heavy snow area for a week or so. No way would I live there. I'll take my 95 F summer with sticky humidity over snowed in for days on end.

Having lived in both, I wouldn't trade the summers in Montana for anything.
