My husband is best man in a wedding next week and was growing a beard.

I contacted the bride to make sure she was ok with that. Luckily she didn't care(said as long as he didn't look like a lumberjack) but wanted to make sure.

Why do you think I posted it?

It's monday morning and I have no one to bitch at for another 3 hours.

Their downvotes are sustaining me.

I actually feel sorry for the bride... As the father of a daughter I'd make you dissappear if you did that. Not a joke either.

Might be the saddest sentence I've read here (outside of news stories, etc). Seriously, how empty is your life?

You were irrationally thinking that people would tell you how awesome that sounded

This is something you do when you go to a concert or a NASCAR race. Not a wedding.

She's probably spending a couple grand on wedding photos too, that will be a cruel reminder of their immaturity

This day isn't about you at all and no one wants to see 5 morons carry out a drunken bet that draws attention away from the couple.

Do you think we would be doing it if the groom hadn't approved and is growing his own?

Oh wait, the day isn't about the couple, it's about the bride pretending to be a princess.

Guess if the bride and bride's family agrees.....spending a lot of money and maybe ruining a lady's life-long dream to have a perfect wedding is a big risk. the attention should be on her.
