The Advocate
That trial may end up being really interesting/entertaining.

Sugardaddie.com describes itself on its website as a service for “slightly older gentlemen of wealth, willing to enter into a mutually beneficial relationship with younger attractive ladies for the purpose of showing them a more affluent lifestyle.”

Much of the case against Reed deals with alleged misuse of campaign money, some of which prosecutors claim he diverted illegally to his son, Steven Reed, who is a co-defendant in the case.

Documents obtained by The Advocate suggest prosecutors might intend to use information from Sugardaddie.com to show that a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by Reed at the upscale Dakota restaurant in Covington was not a campaign event but a private soiree paid for by campaign donations.
Mark2200 mentioned the dinner in online chats in November 2011 with three different women, describing it to each as an event for family and friends.
“Have a private room reserved tomorrow at my favorite restaurant for about 25 and so I won’t have to worry about cooking and dirty dishes,” one message said.
“Each year I reserve a private room at Dakota’s Restaurant in Covington for about 25 close friends and family,” another post said.

I assure you Walter Reed was wholly more dangerous than any cocain pusher. This was a man who bent and twisted the Justice system while committing his own wave of crime. There are thousand of innocent people who's lives are ruined because of this arrogant a,,,hole. Families that have suffered. Young people who've been sentenced for 10-15yrs for vehcial deaths while his own son, his own son had a a drunken afternoon on the river and crashed his boat into a pier killing two people. This happened AFTER sheriff deputies stopped his boat twice that day --- but let him continue on because he was Walter Reed's son. He never spent one day behind bars. Eventually guys like this cross the wrong person, who's power is greater. They will eventually write books about the corruption in Reeds office, perhaps even a movie. Once he's convicted, thousands upon thousands will rejoice. When he resigned, 4 assistant DA's (his co-criminals) were fired and two additional ADA's resigned before the new DA took office. That sould tell EVERYONE just how corrupt that office was.

I agree with all of this but what is weird is that I know people who know him when he first took office and swear he was a great man. I could see getting a little lad after years in power but not turning the corner completely. This guy went all the way.
