Do people my age go to Madigans? I haven't been since I was 21(circa 96).

Mixed crowd. A lot of Tulane and Loyola Grad students and young professionals. I'd say 25-35 for the most part.

No offense but walt is a fricking idiot, especially when uber is in BR.
He deserves all the shite he's about to have to deal with Which will probably be a little jail time since it's number 3.

damn poor Walt. Talked to a friend who said he got pulled over, but didn't blow. Posting because snuck his phone in jail. Hopefully he has a good lawyer, but it's going to be hard to talk your way out of your 8th dwi you got before 30. His daughter is almost in high school and badly needs a father figure. fricking a-hole cops

quote:I've had my fair share, and can say that as of 3 years ago, that is wrong. The way to do it now is to not even go to trial. Just takes a few phone calls to the right people. I drove drunk the other week, but haven't since. I was way to drunk to even be sitting in a car and realized as I swerved into the middle of the interstate that I shouldn't be able to decide other people's fate. I refuse to do it again.
People bitch about the good ol boy system in La, but as of now Louisiana has some of the more struck dwi laws in the country.
Gave up hard liquor the next day, but slipped up during Thor and Bacchus after drinking beer the entire day. Started drinking Jack and Coke at Grits around 2, then Rendezvous, then Balcony, then Milan, S&J's, some guys house (smoking hot sister), and finished out the next day at Igor's. Finally made it home at 4 in the afternoon the next day after being up since 8 the morning before. Hard liquor = drugs = me staying up until I run out of money. Literally snowballed. Not a good combo, so I'm sticking to beer and taxis now

Walt, so I now know that you drive a Rover and didn't get a DWI last night. The only question remaining from the first page is just how many DWI's you have. The estimate right now is anywhere from 2 to 7. Care to elaborate?

always admire honest posts on here..it looks like you can't control yourself too well..you gave up hard liquor the other week after driving, then started drinking it again last week..not really giving it up imo. might want to avoid drinking in general or you'll end up finding yourself behind the wheel again. If you drink til you run out of money, you'll find yourself driving rather thatn paying a taxi you can't afford.

Always have a few geez sitting at the house. The main problem was that I had been drinking with someone like me all day. By the time I realized it, I had already done probably 15 shots, drank two twelve packs, and downed two or three cocktails. When I drink beer only, I usually get full and tired. I drink heavy beers so that happens.
I definitely know I binge drink like a mother fricker when I drink hard liquor. Unlike most people, it keeps me awake to as long as I'm drinking. About half of the times I have gone out in the past 5 years ended up like the movie The Hangover. The other half is when I either drink beer, or go home early with a chick.
After drinking and partying hard for almost 15 years straight, there comes a point where you realize you've got to chill out. I have stopped for a few months at a time before on purpose though. Now, I've just got to find a broad that likes to do shite other than party every night (hard to do when you're hanging out with 21-25 year olds). It has helped in the past to have someone say, "quit drinking now and I'll go eff you in the car"
Partying like a wild man is what I'm good at. It is definitely not good for me
Eta: Even though it's the internet, and only a few on TD know or have met me, I'm still not gonna be all high and mighty and pretend I'm someone I'm not. A lot of the shite I've done is hard for most people to believe, but I have rarely said anything untrue and never lie in person
