That sucks. Scary disease. Hopefully they're making some progress on treatment.

That sucks. Als is extremely uncommon in women, right?

I think everyone had a good idea something was up with her. Sad to hear anyone diagnosed with ALS.

Man, that's awful.
Not to be mean, but she appeared to be slipping mentally for a while now. Her coverage during the flood last year made me wonder if something was going wrong with her or if she was just losing her touch.

Very good friend of mine has it. I hate that mother fricking disease.
Haven't heard very many women getting it.

Damn that sucks. She was sitting right behind me at Albashas recently

A good friend and former co-worker's mother was diagnosed with it several years ago. Even had a second opinion to confirm. Unfortunately, she had passed on a couple years after her diagnosis.

Prayers sent.
The ice bucket challenge of a few years ago raised a ton of money for ALS research.
A few new experimental drugs are on the way, but can't get here fast enough. One costs 140k per month.

She seemed well spoken in the video. I hope she'll love as long as possible

Bill Joyce, head of Moonbot Studios in Shreveport, lost his wife to ALS.

Something has clearly been up with her for a while. During the flood last year, she had one of the longest brain farts I've ever seen played out live.

Anyone remember the "two ton" nickname from her days at WYNK?

Had one cousin died from it. She was 57. Another cousin was just diagnosed with it along with his brother.
My wife had a cousin that died from it. He was 42 when he passed.
