It's got my vote.

Hatred-filled posts caused expedited my decision to delete the shite a long time ago

It's interesting, but some friends and i have been kind of talking about this. I couldn't take Facebook anymore. The white guilt and SJW bullshite got so thick, I had to delete the app. It was making me insane. Then the more I thought about it, the more I realized that social media might be the spawn of all of this. It allows humans to communicate faster and with fewer consequences. You can form an opinion without discussing it with anyone, and then run with it half baked. Like minded people can stir it and shite is flamed up in this manic pace - too quick to really even think or talk about it. It's like 10 million mini-movements getting formed all the time. Like a revolution on meth. It's probably here to stay but hopefully a litte more humanity can be injected into the madness. Otherwise, I don't know what the frick is gonna happen.

actually, my initial thought was to agree...then after a minute of thought, I realized just how much this sounds like something that most of the more oppressive governments in the world would do....

It has nothing to do with the government. The Facebook and others could actually send a great message with a temporary shutdown. It won't happen, but could
