These "peaceful protesters" are obstructing a public thoroughfare and consequently impeding the flow of traffic. Last time I checked, that's a crime.
They are also violating the individual's private property (e.g. vehicle) and appeared hostile to me.

All of these people don't consider or care what consequences follow their actions. Protest, it's your right. Your right however does not include illegally blocking a street.

Real easy to act all calm on a message board watching it on video.
If I'm in that situation, all I'm seeing in my head is the many videos of black people beating the shite out of white drivers. I'm outta there!!! And that would even be in situations where I agreed with the reason for the protests! I've never noted an angry black mob asking the white drivers their position on a particular issue.
