Whether the birthday is unknown or not doesn't mean that when Christmas is celebrated was based on any hackneyed, reverse engineered date.
It was based on previous pagan celebrations. That doesn't make it any less worthwhile.

Just because the inspiration for a holiday is commercialized doesn't mean that the traditions associated with it can't have been co-opted by businesses. Just look at numerous examples like Cinco de Mayo (which isn't really celebrated that much in Mexico), Halloween, Thanksgiving, ect

I didn't say one word about any of that or make any argument regarding that. I was simply mocking the chode, who gets off by posting the most times on TD per week, who was spouting off exact dates like he was there.
