Vacant French Quarter commercial space

Stepped in the Quarter for the first time in months today and was shocked by the amount of vacant storefronts. Seemed like there was a For Lease sign on every block. Also, when did Landry's go out of business?

Every time I have gone there it has been good. I don't usually like going to the tourist type places, but personally I liked Landry's

My family has seven buildings in the quarter. Some commercial, some multiple unit residential.
I've seen the apt in the building upstairs of where Dansk is go unleased for 6 months.
It's more than two people.
