Not disagreeing with you, but the company's that most of these unions are in think of their employees less than they do the contract workers.
Not disagreeing with you, either, in some cases. ... But in those cases, there's a good chance that there is a good reason for that.

There is a definitive line that has been drawn and neither side is willing to budge. I have worked on both sides of it, and both are guilty of manipulating their base to suit their purpose.
Without a doubt, but there are many unreasonable, illogical, and frankly, ludicrous demands that are attempted to be forced upon many companies by unions for completely self serving reasons in negations that absolutely should not be entertained by mgmt/corporate for the good of the entire company, and ALL of its employees. As was stated earlier, it is next to impossible to negotiate with unreasonable people with entitled victim attitudes & philosophies.

I don't know....aren't the women working in the plants kinda rough looking? "Rode hard, put up wet" comes to mind for some reason.

Like I said come over to Texas and find out . I seem to have rattled people here for some reason. Instead of talking about the issues of the strike taking place today, people would rather bash individuals on a personal level on success in their lives. Seems very childish.

When I said that other operators/craftsman train one another, I meant that we have specific people who are are qualified and are very knowledgable on all that entails a particular unit/units. Those are the guys who train us. Management has no part in teaching/training us on any job specific material.
Okay, I haven't read all the posts, so I don't know where you work. But, I stand by my statement. I was a wage earner 31 years before I took a management position, of which will be six years tomorrow. Management is heavily involved in training.

Those refineries sound awful dangerous for someone with a 4 month old. And the thought of having to feed that child on a mere $26 a day has to be unsettling. You should look for employment elsewhere. I know someone in need of a planner/scheduler.

You're claiming an extremely dangerous environment, which it no doubt is. But be quite honest...the majority of injuries in this industry are the result of human error and not equipment failure / poor equipment design. USW making demands in name of safety are pretty shallow in today's industrial environments.

Yet again, you made it a point to indirectly bash other industries to prop up yours like it was something special.
I doubt anyone would be attacking you if you hadn't come in here guns blazing acting like plant workers are saving the world one solo cup at a time.

What Six Sigma or should I say sigma six projects you working on? Being in a refinery and being a black belt you should be making mid 6 figures.

I respect the way you have handled yourself, however I am on the other side of your argument. Do you think the unions demands are out of line, do you think that unions themselves are or should be a thing of the past, do you believe unions have the front line workers best interest in mind with these shenanigans ?

You must be talking about the refineries in Louisiana . Not all women in the industry have the looks you are stating below.

You mean above right? Since my post was above yours and all.

So you are saying only the women who work in refineries in Louisiana are ugly?
