Nolan had a perfect opportunity to correct the wrongs of history by casting women and minorities in leading roles, and he failed miserably. Just because we had it wrong in 1940 doesn't mean we need to keep it that way today.

If you want to showcase blacks in American history, then sounds like we need black directors to find the best stories and make films about them.
If the public decides it's something they want to pay money for, then you'll get more money from producers to make more.
Telling white filmmakers, or filmmakers of ANY color, that they have to make films about blacks infringes on the most basic freedoms we have as Americans.
And if this is just a ploy by the race-baiting author to try and keep blacks from spending money on the film, something tells me Nolan is going to be just fine without whatever small percentage of 12% of the population that even has any disposable income...
