Over 2 years behind schedule. I can only surmise its a scam with constant change orders and some politicians are getting a cut of the waste

they going to start operating the southern drawbridge again?

that one hasn't been used since I was a young child

the northern drawbridge (the one where the train bridge also can raise and lower) was the only one opened for the longest time

also... I'm still amazed that bridge survived Katrina

My mother over there was complaining about it to the city. Just being an old lady about it but she wasn't wrong. They fixed the twin span quicker

Funny how the parallel railroad bridge, privately owned and maintained by the Norfolk Southern, is able to constantly stay open and properly maintained.

Only if your bike can take off on some sweet jumps.

The drawbridges are always in the up position.

Interwar period infrastructure is literally built to survive bombs, I'm not surprised.

What about the bike tunnel on 59? That thing has got to be approaching 3 years.

They will only be opening the South draw for Entergy crews to maintain power lines on that end of the lake.

An entirely new elevated bridge could have been almost completed by now... being built without the use draws that need maintenance
