2 guys tied their breathing air line into Argon. Not sure how the hell they managed that but there's no threat to anybody else or the environment other than those 2 individuals.

According to reports, the workers were suited up to perform duties and put on masks they thought was pumping oxygen through them, but it was actually the gas.

Louisiana State Police reported there was no off-site damage and there is no threat to the public.

i don't even see how that's possible. Don't the two different air lined have different couplings?

That's correct. I have no knowledge on what went wrong. But just a couple points 1. Just because something is an OSHA reg doesn't mean it's followed just like somebody breaking a law. I know of an incident where the hard piped fresh air line got tied into an inert gas line. So that's a possibility that the employees did nothing wrong and somebody else left them a Boobie trap. There's other scenarios as well that I could come up with to how or why it happened.
