Just having a discussion with a friend about why large corporations push so hard for their employees to give to the United Way. What's the catch here ?
CEO makes $1.1m per year and less than .10 of every dollar goes to helping people.

I have been bombarded with requests for donations from dozens of my customers in the past couple of weeks

I don't know but I know when I worked for the government they pushed hard on us every year to contribute. I also know that people who contributed big got bonuses from their supervisors because of it. I never contributed.
Remember that United Way was the one who had the CEO caught with two company Cadillacs.

My company does this.
Not sure what the CEO makes, but the top donors in the company get to park under the covered parking spaces.
