Anyone had any success getting a Uber from New Orleans to Mandeville on a Friday or Saturday night? Are they willing to make that drive?

Some drivers may prefer that.

I have a friend that does Uber on the weekends and they love doing cross lake runs. It's an easy drive across the causeway for $$$.

I've heard Uber drivers bitch... one told me he lives on the NS and got lucky picking up his last passenger of the day that just happened to need a ride to Mandeville.

Made that Uber ride several times. Cheapest was around $45 and most expensive around $75. Really depends on how late you request one

Wanted to go out to eat and DRINK so $60 ins't bad split with another couple. Was worried that we might end up stuck in New Orleans without a ride back.

I guess they can kick you out, but I thought the company rule was to make sure you had plenty of gas because a request could be made to anywhere.

Have had a couple drivers tell me they have made trips to BR several times from NOLA

If a drivers ride acceptance rate dips, they get logged off the Uber system for a timeout period.

If you are ubering from Baton Rouge to New Orleans or vice versa, it's a total dick move not to go online and arrange it ahead of time. I think it would be pretty ridiculous to expect an Uber driver to pick you up and then the app update them that they have to drive an hour and a half away and presumably an hour and a half back home.

That's not true. If someone wanted to go from Dallas to Austin and I was driving, I'd say no way. I've heard of people doing that shite before as well.

Cheaper than a DUI... Wish everyone was this responsible.

Apparently uber rules are that there are no distance limitations, but drivers can cancel a ride.

Don't they know where the fair is going before they decide to pick you up?

I've had drivers tell me that they can choose what areas they prefer to work in and whatnot.

At any rate, I'd think that someone would prefer the longer drive because of the improved gas mileage.
