Well that sucks. I was on the team many moons ago.

My oldest brother's friend was a golden knight several years ago and lost both of his legs when another guy slammed into him. It killed the other guy.

Geez the first two replies are a guy claiming to know one and a guy claiming to be one.
The OT just keeps getting worse.

Don't know what to tell you, but the one I met lives in Weatherford Texas. It doesn't make me special for talking to the guy at a crawfish boil and i have no idea why you think it's so far fetched.

One was an Army Golden Knight, the other was a Navy Leap Frog. They were making a joint jump.

I was not a jumper, I was a pilot that flew them around. Not really that hard to fathom.

Agreed. Really stinks. Usually these guys are some true badasses. You don't get to go to halo school without having seen some shite

Yea but you don't have to see any shite to go to Halo school. Being selected for SF helps (preferably 3rd, 5th, and 7th group), or know the right people, or be really lucky.

Damn he burned it in. At least he was out cold.

Mid air collision/entanglement. My greatest fear through 73 static line jumps. Only crashed into another jumpers canopy one time. And it was at Airborne School. Used the right technique and bounced right off rather than going through his suspension lines and getting entangled. Blackhat smoked me when I got to the ground.
RIP to this brave Soldier. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

I don't see how his auto opener didn't deploy the chute. They all have then now.
