Helps people see you when hard rain is restricting visibility. Is this that hard to understand?

It's illegal in Texas to operate your hazard lights on a vehicle unless it's parked.

But so is not having a front license plate, but I see that all the time, too.

But these people are always driving

And I'm pretty sure it's illegal to drive with your hazards are on anyway

They certainly don't do this sort of thing on the Autobahn.

Happened to me today. The Tahoe in front of me turned on their hazard lights and made it significantly harder to tell when they were breaking

It's what smart people do when the weather gets really bad for safety and visibility purposes and they also do it to piss off shitty drivers so they'll go rant about it online.

No it doesn't. Unless you have amber hazards then it makes it harder to determine when you are braking. You are making the situation more dangerous for everyone around you. Just turn on your lights and drive your shite.

It is nearly impossible to spot silver or white vehicles in heavy showers during the day. Hazards make people much more visible.

People that turn their hazards on while driving are worse than drunk drivers in my opinion.

Driving with your hazards on is illegal in Louisiana.

It's legal in almost half the states (20 of 51 including the Puerto Rico).

LINK

Arkansas and Louisiana are illegal but Mississippi and Texas are legal.

I've used them once when driving. Interstate and drivers went from 75-80 mph to 20 mph pretty quickly when the bottom dropped out. What's wrong with that? some people drive like shite.

Edit: I've never seen anything other than yellow hazard lights.
