False, actual feminism was created a long time ago with actual good intentions.

The term has since evolved to the negative connotation that it has earned today. So much so now that 90 something % of women say they are for equal rights, but something like 30% or less consider themselves "feminists".

Designed to? Not originally, but 2nd wave and beyond were certainly developed to erode the family and spread leftist thought. Absolutely. Appealing to ugly women is just a recruiting tool.

3rd wave feminism is nothing more than a spiteful ideology that seeks to punish white men and any woman to the right of Lena Dunham. They are not about equality.

This.

But since it's on here - my take is that it probably has it's roots to a large extent in WWII where a lot of women assumed workplace roles to replace the men that went off to war.

It'd be interesting to see to what extent it occurred to countries that sent a lot of men to the war - Germany, Russia, England, Japan, U.S., etc.

I do think that in some of the old Nordic and Germanic societies, women have had larger roles at certain times in their history - shield maidens and such. And I think concepts like community property and such may have come from those types of societies.

It would seem to make sense that the more militaristic societies would be more like this. But I don't think societies like Greek, Roman and Arab, which I consider pretty militaristic had women in expanded roles much at all. So I'm not sure how it develops.

Be a better man to attract an independent woman. Or be mediocre and marry a poor one.
