Keep a lookout for jobs in West Africa and Saudi. Only places I know if besides Russia that are growing. Only Russians can work in Russia though.

Got ya, prob going to be tough seeing how I would be a trainee basically for MWD/LWD but will keep and eye out. I knew it happen, blowing and going with guys racking in $ while I am in school and the bottom fall out right as I get done. 
Unlike the 08 drop I think prices are going to be down for at least a couple years barring a war in the ME. Was hoping to jump on doing shale work where you can climb the ladder quick but I think its going to be on its arse for a long time.

Similar happened to me. I came out of school on the heels of a downturn and we got hit with another 3 years after. I've been fortunate that I've never been laid off. I got lucky taking this job. I'm not supposed to know but my manager has already told me I'm about to move into his job and get my own product line while he's moving up to Area manager for multiple countries. Not very many people getting promotions right now.
