If we want fewer big rigs clogging up traffic, we should start demanding more infrastructure spending for more direct routes, more lane capacity, and more alternative routes. The country is more than twice as populated as it was when our freeway system was initially planned out.
And we need to allow big rigs to carry more weight while restricting their lane usage. That’s what Canada does. Outside of winter restrictions, their trucks can hold 25% more weight albeit with a 3rd trailer axle. They use the exact same American made trucks and trailers as we do, just a different trailer axle configuration. That enables the same amount of freight to move around with fewer trucks.

Driving is a crap shoot these days abs it’s stupid to get into road rage or altercation. Just move along and go about your day. Curious though, if 18-wheeler was the cause. Here, they are the worst. Rolling lane blocks, they cross side streets at busy intersections knowing they won’t make the light and block it so nobody can cross or take the turn for a cycle or 2. They are the worst of the legal drivers, along with taxis.

We don't have too many recreational cyclists. We do have cyclists who had their license revoked, can't afford insurance, etc. and skateboards, electric scooters, powered wheelchairs, riding lawnmowers...

Roads, even interstates, are built according to weight and speed standards.
