“No security checks is concerning”
Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile
Went to see Ed Sheeran on Sunday 23rd April concert was great but there was no security on the door which was quite alarming. A female security person just scanned our ticket and didnt check my bag at all.Once we got in and bought a bottle of wine the top is taken off so they r not used as missiles but no check to see if u have any type of weapon/bomb in your bag in these times of terror attacks its not good enough for the crowd or the act on stage.#needs sorting

Perhaps she could have made a few phone calls voicing her concerns rather than put it on the internet

I'm sure the random city employee she would have talked to would have dropped everything immediately and got security added to that venue.

And posting it as a review did more good? She might as well had written it in her diary.

Who said call a random city employee and leave it at that? When I have concerns, and what things done, I make sure to let the proper authority know. If not, I keep it to myself. I don't post it as a review on the internet just to complain.

The attack didn't happen in the arena. The attacker rode the subway and Detonated at one of the exits.

Have you never seen a company or big business respond to a negative tweet or post on Facebook before? There are quite a few examples where complaints on the Internet in highly visible spaces gets results much faster than a complaint over the phone will get. There's a ton of exposure in posting a complaint on a site like TripAdvisor that wouldn't exist through a phone call.

The attack was in the building, in the foyer. Which should be past security.

This pisses me off so much. I know early reports indicate the bomber came in the exit, but still. Anytime I go to a large event I expect to be at least patted down, if I am not I am a little concerned. Call me a Nancy I don't care.

We has a planet have got to start doing this everywhere more often. It sucks but we really have no other choice. How much will it help, I have no idea.

This is true. I always consult trip advisor before I book a hotel or a reservation at a restaurant, especially if it is in an area I'm not familiar with. I don't let a random negative review impact my decision normally, but a well thought out and intelligent response by management to a negative review will certainly help me decide.

Exactly. When I had a problem with a school issue for my son, I emailed my city councilman. She had the problem addressed in under two hours.

Well that probably should have been addressed.

I like that too. It is fun to turn my junk quickly so they touch it.

Not necessarily. We should tell people to leave their luggage, backpacks, purses, etc. in their cars. Their is nothing you cannot do without at an Arianna Donut Licker concert.

If you have to carry medicine, carry it in your cargo shorts.

Can anyone name an event in the US where you are allowed to carry a back pack into still? Or hell even a larger purse?

Nfl does clear plastic bags which I am not considering in this.

Only place I know of is large work conventions, where most hand out free back packs.

To be fair, a lot of reviews on Trip Advisor are read by staff members of a lot of these venues and hotels. I see management responding to reviews all the time when I'm reading up on a place.

The bomb looks to have gone off outside of the venue in a foyer between the stadium and the train station which is immediately next door. So that comment is moot.

But LOL at whoever said 'someone is going to be 'sued', that's not how it works anywhere but the USA.

You clearly have no idea the power of TripAdvisor. Not shocking tbh.

Look at TripAdvisor reviews. Many businesses look for negative ones and will comment on them and reach out to the person who made the compliant. Having bad TripAdvisor reviews can be really bad for business.
