I went to Menchies yesterday with the kids. It was like the Fall of Western Civilization. Half normal people minding their business, half Zulu Mating Ceremony meets Hee Haw Family Reunion.

Ok, I was just going by the title of your post and assuming it was directly related to the subject of your post.
I don't think many folks here would ever be able to understand the style choices of really dumb people. I seriously doubt you would see a college grad from a legit college dress like that.
It's a class thing. Poor people generally eat poorly, make dumber decisions and dress differently. Just how it is.

Poor people also eat a lot of fast food, which in the long run is more expensive than eating their fruits and veggies.
